Flir Expand WiFi compatibility to more Thermal Cameras

WiFi compatibility to more building industry thermal imaging cameras

Users request connections between thermal imaging cameras and other devicesT_series_wifi

Being able to connect a thermal imaging camera with other instruments becomes more and more important.  FLIR Systems has acknowledged the fact that more and more users are requesting connectivity with measurement tools and other devices.
WiFi connectivity with an iPad or iPhone, for the first time introduced to the market during the launch of the FLIR Ebx-Series and FLIR T640bx/T620bx, has proven to be a great success.
Therefore FLIR Systems has decided, as requested by many users, to introduce this useful feature also to the  FLIR B250/B335/B365/B425 and the FLIR B660/B620.
WiFi compatibility
Allows to wirelessly transfer images from a thermal imaging camera to an iPad or iPhone. Many users of the FLIR Ebx-Series and FLIR T640bx/T620bx have already discovered the benefits of this useful feature:
  • Show what you are seeing to a colleague or customer that is a distance away. This is extremely useful when measurements need to be done in hard to reach areas or difficult environments
  • Analyze thermal images directly on the iPad or iPhone with the help of the FLIR Viewer App which can be easily downloaded
  • Generate comprehensive reports
  • Send the inspection reports immediately to your customer, colleagues or management via e-mail
MeterLink
FLIR MeterLink technology makes it possible to transfer, via Bluetooth, the data acquired by an Extech MO297 moisture meter into the thermal imaging camera. It is just another example of the possibility to connect a thermal imaging camera with another measurement tool. Numerous users are using MeterLink technology on a daily basis. They report the following benefits:
  • Saves time: no need to take notes during the inspection
  • Eliminates the risk of erroneous notes
  • Speeds up the reporting process: all values are automatically included in your reports
More FLIR Systems cameras contain wireless connectivity
The following FLIR Systems thermal imaging cameras contain both MeterLink and WiFi technology:
FLIR E40bx/E50bx/E60bx
FLIR B250/B335/B365/B425
FLIR T640bx/T620bx
FLIR B660/B620
Warranty
FLIR Systems is giving a full 2 years of warranty on every handheld thermal imaging camera that is marketed for predictive maintenance and building applications and is equipped with an uncooled microbolometer detector. The uncooled microbolometer itself is covered by no less than 10 years of warranty. If a problem should occur within this timeframe FLIR Systems will replace the uncooled microbolometer detector free of charge or, depending on the case, even replace the entire thermal imaging camera. In order to benefit from these warranty conditions, the owner of the FLIR thermal imaging camera needs to register his product at the FLIR Systems website.
